Feeding The Needs of Others!

Josh Noble awarded the first
“Character of Champions”  in Action Award!

We are so delighted to be receiving so much feedback from parents about the positive impact that The Character of Champions workshops are having on their sons and daughters. We have decided that we are going to create a monthly recognition award for Acts of Character shown by NextGen players!

Our Congratulations and respect goes to Josh Noble from Lehigh Valley United. Please read Josh’s story below and invite players, coaches & parents to send nominations for October’s Character of a Champion Award to me,
tony@nextgenusa.org, by Sunday October 25th.

Completely out of the blue, a few weekends ago, Josh asked his parents if he could help raise donations for the local charity food pantry as he had read that they were running very low. The Flemington Area Food Pantry (http://flemingtonfoodpantry.org/) is a volunteer organization founded to provide food and personal care items to needy families of Hunterdon County.

Josh asked the local Shop Rite to help donate carrier bags and paper bags to help with this. He drafted and printed over 200 flyers and attached these to the bags. Josh then knocked on hundreds of doors to personally request donations, and for those interested or those not in he left a bag. He collected the bags with the help of his mom a few days later from each house, which had left them as, requested.

In the end he managed to collect and donated 80 bags of food to help needy families. All of this took him the entire weekend!

Well Played Josh – You've truly demonstrated  The Character of a Champion.

Again, to nominate October’s NextGen Character of a Champion please send a brief story outlining the Act of Character demonstrated by the player who must be in a NextGen Program by Sunday October 25th to tony@nextgenusa.org.

Thanks for your Support; together we can make a difference.

Kind Regards,

Tony
